Easy Installation – Cleaning

Basic Installation Guidelines (approx. 15 minutes)

The height at which the 3D humidifier is mounted can slightly influence performance.
The manual recommends drilling at 160 cm from the floor or at the user’s eye level – ideal for optimal airflow.
Mounting it lower than 100 cm (lowest point 20 cm above the floor) may reduce performance by up to 5%.

Children’s room

To keep the unit out of reach of small children, mount it slightly higher.
This also frees up floor space for play.
Thanks to the downward airflow, humidity still reaches the child’s area.
Since August 2021, a child safety lock has been available – keeping the device securely attached even if touched or pulled.

For standard floor-standing cribs, position the unit slightly to the side near the head (30–40 cm away).
The circulating air gently moves the air around the bed, supporting healthy oxygen exchange.

Older adults

To make it easier to handle without bending or stretching, drill at 120–130 cm.
The water tank (3 litres, 3.2 kg when full) can then be placed or removed easily, ensuring comfortable, ergonomic use.

Cats

Cats love the descending humidity and often sit underneath it.
If they might play with the unit, mount it higher.

Minimum drilling height

1 metre, leaving 20 cm beneath the device for cleaning and allowing optimal air circulation.

Let’s get started

Installing the 3D humidifier is quick and easy.
All the necessary steps are clearly explained below.

For preparing the evaporation panel on the upper edge of the reservoir, it’s best to do this on a table.
That way, you can get it ready in advance with ease.

Follow the steps in pictures or video

Use the arrows on the right to scroll through the images and follow the installation step by step.

Wall Mounting

wall

The evaporation poster is hung on the wall. In the box, you’ll find a round-head screw and wall plug, which you’ll use for mounting.

Attach the device (tighten screw)

After hanging the base unit via the hole in the metal plate, align it properly and tighten the screw firmly.

Folding the panel at the top edge (creasing)

knicken

The panel is folded once at the top. Parallel to the existing fold, there is a second crease. Please make a sharp second fold along this crease. (See video at 4:15). This gives the panel an inverted “U” shape.

Hanging the panel (centering)

Hanging the panel

Hanging the panel

The panel is placed over the front edge of the upper basin so that the centering pin positions it in the middle.

ChatGPT: Insert hose at the top

Insert the hose end with coupling through the rectangular opening in the capillary basin on the wall and guide it downward behind the base unit.

Snap in the cover plate

platte

Place the cover plate on the capillary basin
Lay the cover plate onto the capillary basin so that the clips align with the notches in the board and gently press it down. The notches on the plate will snap into place with a “click.” (See video at 5 min.)

Hose end (coupling)

Click in the hose
Insert the hose into the designated slot in the collection tray using the coupling until it clicks into place.

insert the calkabsorber

limeab

fold the limescale separator, insert the middle of the lower tray between the column and the rear wall behind the hose and fix it to the columns on the right or left. Also well depicted on the packaging of the lime separators.

Securing the poster on the supports 1 (Clamping strip 1)

klemmlinks

Mount the clamping strip with the wavy end facing downward. Start on the left side. Insert the peg on the strip into the socket of the support.

Securing the poster to support 2 (clamping bar 2)

clampright

Now guide the pin on the right down through the groove and lock it in place by gently pressing it forward.

Place Poster End in Collection Basin (Lower Section)

on the bottom

Separate the perforated crescent in the center of the poster. Place the poster between the front columns, ribs, and basin wall.

fill up the recipient

Stopper

Fill the tank to the brim with water. Hold the tank with the Necono logo facing you, and place the valve onto the tank so that the marking is positioned just before the beginning of the Necono logo. By turning the valve clockwise, the tank is sealed (the marking will then be at the end of the Necono logo).

position the Recipient on the top

Turn the tank in a clockwise direction in front of the mounted device. Insert the tank with the Necono logo facing forward into the top plate.

Your poster is now ready for use. Please make sure that

  • the bottom end of the poster is placed in the lower basin,
  • the hose is correctly attached at both the top and bottom,
  • the valve seals the tank tightly,
  • the wall mount is secure,
  • the poster hangs straight,
  • whether the evaporation panel can be shifted 1–2 mm at the top front edge of the basin

To mount the 3D humidifier only during the winter, we provide a wall plug with a collar.

Create one or more “summer holes” where the humidifier can be placed during the winter.

First pre-drill, then finish drilling with the appropriate drill bit. Bevel the edge of the hole so that the plug with collar is recessed into the wall. Your “summer hole” is ready.

Checklist for Installation:

  • The bottom end of the evaporation panel is correctly placed into the lower tray.
  • The control tube is correctly attached at both the top and bottom.
  • The wall mount is secure and firmly tightened (flat wall).
  • The evaporation panel hangs straight (water level is equal on both sides).
  • The panel can be moved slightly (2–3 mm) sideways between the wooden holder and the upper edge of the basin, even under the retainers – adjust when the paper is wet (fill water first). Fold the panels for easy mounting!

Easy Cleaning

You can find the cleaning instructions under Downloads.

A humidifier must be easy and thorough to clean. Your 3D-Humidifier is very, very simple and quick to clean. Watch the video below. watch the film below

3D-Humidifiers accumulate significantly less dirt – why?
The air circulation, which works with reversed flow from top to bottom, requires less water to achieve the same efficiency. As less water is used, fewer minerals and particles enter the device, reducing contamination.

P.S.: The tank cleaning shown in the video is even easier than described in the cleaning instructions. Use lukewarm or cold water with dish soap.
Capillary and collection basins can be cleaned with undiluted rapid descaler.
