3D Humidifier – Components Become a Unified System

Necono’s 3D humidifiers show how carefully engineered components – with no electronics or motors – combine to create an ultra-efficient and low-maintenance system. Discover the power of natural evaporation through our patented Hydropneumatic Control (HPK) technology.

The “technology within the design” gives the 3D humidifier its unique appearance. This design also makes it a highly effective humidifier. In the diagram, you’ll see the specific functions of each part. When cleaning (once per season), be sure to give them the attention they deserve.

The hydropneumatics (hydropneumatic control) were developed using a scientific method to utilize local energy sources and suppress germ formation. You can learn more about this functionality here!

The parts shown here come together to form a brilliant application.

The operating principle of our humidifiers is based on an automatic water supply within a refined system. An evaporation panel is continually soaked from top to bottom with fresh water from the reservoir (tap water). The water eventually drips into an integrated catch basin, and the supply is automatically stopped. The evaporation panel evenly releases the water stored in its pores into the environment (buffer effect). These intervals are key to suppressing germs.

Unobstructed Air Circulation

The open fleece releases moisture freely, allowing it to fall into the room. This eliminates the need for a fan. It also increases the effectiveness by extending the travel distance of the humidified air. There’s no moisture congestion within the unit.
See adjacent how all this is automatically regulated ->

No Enclosure That Traps Moisture

Necono’s 3D humidifiers are designed without a housing that would trap humidity!

The 3D humidifier allows the air to circulate freely, as needed. Enriched air moves autonomously—as described above—because there is no housing to restrict it. This falling air energy becomes useful thanks to wall mounting. This results in accelerated airflow with balanced propulsion—a thermodynamic effect the device itself creates (katabatic flow).

Never Trap Moisture

Box-out systems tend to become contaminated quickly—because moisture is trapped.
These systems require fans to blow the moist air out of the housing. Otherwise, the air cannot circulate. This causes noise and unnecessary electrical energy consumption.
Note: In everyday life, moisture in enclosed containers leads to faster spoilage.
Example:
Image 1 shows vegetable waste drying out in an open container.
Image 2 shows moldy vegetable waste from a closed container.

Water-Tank:

Contains 3 liters of water, can be cleaned easily and thoroughly.

2

Lid & Valve System

Naturally, the lid seals the water tank.
After filling the tank with water, it is turned upside down and placed onto the cover of the upper basin. Two integrated valves prevent the water from flowing out until the tank is flipped and correctly positioned.

3

Capillary Basin

This component of the humidifier performs several essential functions:
It is mounted on the wall and supports the entire evaporation unit.
It distributes the water evenly across the full width of the evaporation panel and accelerates the flow of water down the poster.
Its design actively prevents the formation of germs by ensuring that water never remains stagnant.
→ corresponds to point 4 on the diagram →

4

Capillary Pump

This device operates like a fully filled hose, pumping water from the interior toward the outside.
Its purpose is to quickly saturate the evaporation panel.
The pores in the cellulose (special paper) are thoroughly filled with water!
→ corresponds to point 5 on the diagram →

5

Evaporation Panel with 3D Profile

Its task is to distribute the evaporation surface over a large air volume.
The side-mounted support strings with their holders keep the folded structure open.
The moist paper now releases water into the air, causing a slight cooling.
This cooling effect triggers a downward air movement, which is quickly set in motion as the air is humidified simultaneously across a wide surface.
This downward air circulation is highly efficient, as the humidified air remains in the room for a long time.
→ corresponds to point 6 on the diagram →

6

Poster carrier

These clamping rails keep the evaporation surface open within a defined air space.
They are also designed to channel water without stagnation, ensuring continuous flow.
This prevents standing water and actively inhibits germ formation.
→ corresponds to point 7 on the diagram →

7

Control Tube

The tube inserted into the drip tray (8) channels air into the water tank (1).
Only then does the capillary tray (3) fill with water.
Water then flows over the evaporation panel (5) into the drip tray (8), where it blocks the control tube (7).
As a result, water outflow from the tank (1) stops.
Only after the water in the drip tray (8) has evaporated does air re-enter the tube — triggering the next refill cycle.
→ corresponds to point 8 on the diagram →

8

Drip Tray (lower Basin)

As the name suggests, this tray collects the water dripping down from the evaporation panel,
interrupts the refill process, and channels the collected water to the lime separator.
Additionally, the drip tray houses the fragrance module (two black knobs),
which hold the fragrance strips infused with your chosen essential oils —
for therapeutic use or to create a pleasant atmosphere.
→ corresponds to point 9 on the diagram →

9

Calk-absorber

The lime separators receive the dripping water from the drip tray.
They absorb the water and allow it to evaporate, while retaining the lime content.
Microorganisms are also collected in this area.
We recommend replacing the lime separators once a month (5 per box).
→ corresponds to point 10 on the diagram →

The process repeats until the water tank is empty!

The 3D humidifier remains active as long as you keep refilling it. Otherwise, it patiently waits for your return! As you can see, no electricity is needed at any point.
