3D humidifiers are controlled by the sophisticated, hydropneumatic capillary sytem. This control is guided by the existing humidity. This means that the evaporation performance is increased with decreasing moisture content and vice versa.

In addition, it has an important task for hygiene in the device. Active suppression of germ development is specifically operated by the processes. See below.

1. Evaporation Panel

Its purpose is to expose the evaporation surface to as much air as possible. The side-mounted evaporator carrier keeps the structure open in a 3-dimensional shape. The moist paper passes the water into the air, which cools down marginally. Water is converted directly into water vapor, which drops into the room, resulting in a long dwell time and high efficiency. This form of air circulation is extremely efficient, as the air remains where it is for a long time.

2. Catch Basin

As the name suggests, this component collects the water. After the water has flowed through the panel, the refilling process is interrupted and the accumulated water passes into the descaler. The hose for water flow regulation, the “Stop and Go” function, is also fitted here.

3. Air tube (control function)

The hose does not carry any water, as might be expected. Instead it passes air into the water tank. Water draining in the system can close the hose, as it is plugged into the collecting basin. This causes a slight vacuum in the water tank and prevents the water from flowing out of the tank. We call it the “Stop and Go” function.

4. Container Stopper

The stopper is at the heart of the humidifier; it closes the water tank. The stopper also determines the filling level in the upper basin. What’s more, it connects the collecting basin and the water tank with the hose to control the intervals in which the water flows. Air from the collecting basin is guided into the water tank via the stopper. It is positioned in the upper basin, where it regulates the water level to rinse the panel, but of course only if the capillary basin (upper basin) is not already full.

5. Water-Tank

The water tank holds 3 liters of water; this quantity of water is selected to ensure that water contamination is negligible. The tank should be cleaned every 2 months and of course when changing the panels. It is easy to clean thoroughly.

6. Capillary basin (upper basin)

This part of the humidifier fulfills different tasks. The basin is attached to the wall and therefore carries the evaporator. It is responsible for distributing water across the entire width of the evaporation surface, especially with the two grooved lugs. Its design ensures inhibition of bacterial accumulation and that the water never remains stagnant. This means that once the entire panel it is filled with water, the basin is drained completely so that it is emptied in regular intervals.

7. Descalers

The descalers accept the drained water and ensure it evaporates. They retain the lime dripping down from the evaporation panel. The descalers also collect any bacteria, which is why they are replaced on average once per month.

8. Capillary-pump

The capillary pump is responsible for flooding water on to the surface of the panel. This is to prevent the water from being drawn out by the suction force of the paper alone. Lime would quickly block the pores. The grooves in the two lugs on the capillary basin (top) are covered by the paper, but not closed, creating a hose to pump out the water.

Stopp-Zone

This part was introduced in February 2019. To secure the vacuum during the interrupted flooding, regardless of how the installation was done.
