1. Room & Performance

Is one 3D Humidifier enough for rooms larger than 28 m²?
Yes. The moisture naturally sinks and then spreads evenly throughout the room. To check airflow, you can use a simple incense stick test: if the smoke rises straight up, the air is calm; if it drifts sideways, it shows the direction of circulation. Place the humidifier so that the moisture reaches the area where it is most needed. Only in special cases or with very high comfort demands might a second unit be necessary.

Why should 3D Humidifiers be mounted on the wall?
During evaporation, the device extracts heat from the air – the moistened air becomes slightly heavier and sinks. Mounted on the wall, this air has the space it needs to accelerate and distribute evenly. When placed on the floor, the effect is disrupted by obstacles or heating systems and may also encourage germ formation.

2. Health & Safety

Are 3D Humidifiers hygienic and safe?
Yes. Our devices are natural evaporators without fans and without chemical additives. The patented design minimizes germ formation. Lime absorbers capture residues, and the evaporation panels are designed as hygienic consumables.

Do 3D Humidifiers shut off at high humidity levels?
Water supply regulates itself automatically: when humidity is high, output is greatly reduced. The tank empties completely so that no stagnant water can contaminate.

Are 3D Humidifiers safe for children’s rooms, bedrooms, and vacation homes?
Yes. 3D Humidifiers operate without electricity and are therefore free of electrical risks. When the tank runs empty, the device shuts off automatically – so forgetting to turn it off is impossible. This makes them particularly suitable for bedrooms, children’s rooms, and holiday homes or cottages.

Another advantage: the patented HPK technology works without electrosmog and without heat generation. Unlike steam vaporizers, no heat is produced – humidification remains natural, safe, and hygienic.

3. Operation & Cleaning

How do you clean the evaporation panels?
The evaporation panels are hygienic consumables – similar to leaves on a tree. They should be handled very carefully when wet. Light traces of lime are normal. For optimal hygiene, we recommend replacing them regularly after one to two heating seasons, depending on water quality and usage.

How often should the lime absorbers be replaced?
Approximately every 4–6 weeks. The lime absorbers take in the water dripping into the collection basin and bind the lime inside. To prevent water from being drawn back into the panel, the perforation at the bottom should be detached.

Can I clean parts in the dishwasher?
Yes, but it is not recommended. The components are designed to be quickly cleaned with a brush and detergent. Instructions are provided, and a cleaning video is available (Film cleaning). The plastic parts of the base unit can be cleaned in the dishwasher (without panel/leaf). Beforehand, remove heavy lime deposits with an appropriate descaler. Important: after each cleaning, blow out the closure so that the control air can circulate freely again.

What types of water are suitable?
Tap water is ideal. Filtered water can be used as long as the filters are maintained regularly. Be cautious with water softeners that use salt – they can cause white deposits. Condensation water from dryers is also suitable and can help extend the device’s service life.

4. Special Features

Why are 3D Humidifiers not included in comparison tests?
Most testing organizations examine only electrical devices, as they are sold through the electrical trade. The 3D Humidifier is a globally unique, electricity-free system and therefore difficult to compare. Independent platforms such as Topten.ch or specialized energy and environmental portals do list us.

What makes the 3D Humidifier different from other devices?

Does the 3D Humidifier improve humidification efficiency?
Yes, it significantly increases efficiency! During evaporation, the air inside the device cools slightly (approx. 2 °C) and then sinks. This catabatic effect considerably extends the residence time of the moistened air in the room. Unlike conventional devices, the humidity does not rise unused to the ceiling but remains where it is needed – for targeted and highly effective humidification. See also section 1: Room & Performance.
